Sales Avenues: Where can I sell my work?
July 7 ~ 12 – 2 pm

Explore the different avenues to access customers and strategies for approaching each avenue.

Avenues we will discuss include local markets, art shows, art galleries, online sales, creating your own events and the role social media can play for you.

Information will be provided on how to set up a business in Colorado.

This class will be structured as a discussion with time for questions and answers.
Developing a Cohesive Body of Work: How do I make my work saleable?
July 21 ~ 12 – 2 pm

Customers want to identify with you and with your work.

We will discuss strategies to create a cohesive and inviting body of work, including your in-person display, your marketing materials and how to plan out your variety of products.

This class will be structured as a discussion with time for questions and answers.
Marketing Techniques: What can I do to get my work seen?
August 4 ~ 12 – 2 pm

Selling art is based on relationships, whether it is a first time meeting or a connection built over several years.

We will discuss strategies for finding customers, communicating with customers,
developing marketing materials, websites, and social media. -
This class will be structured as a discussion with time for questions and answers.

Julie Neri
Julie Neri worked for 30 years in private industry, and higher education program administration, before turning her marketing and management skills toward a career as an artist.
Julie achieved a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University and a MPA from the University of Colorado, Denver before first touching clay.
She has been selling her hand-built clay creations for 14 years, and since 2020, has been a full-time artist. In her first 4 months on Etsy, Julie made $10,000, and consistently earns $20,000 yearly online. Julie is a top seller in several Colorado art galleries and a top seller in the Boulder Potters’ Guild Sales for the last 7 years.
Volunteering for management level positions in three arts organizations has
given Julie access to hundreds of artists, along with successful sales strategies for all art mediums.
