Acrylic Painting

In this acrylic class we will be learning how to paint a beautiful and magical Colorado full moon night - Moonstruck!

You will learn through discussions, step-by-step demonstrations, and one-on-one instructor help as you paint.

In this class we will learn about acrylic paint, and explore different acrylic techniques that aid in strong compositions, such as:

  • Color mixing

  • Painting gradients

  • Washes

  • Use of light and shadow

The class atmosphere will be a positive, supportive, and relaxed learning environment.  This class will emphasize experimentation and the use of your own voice to create something bright and fun.

All materials and supplies, like brushes and different painting surfaces, are included.

Whisky Sipping

Hogback Distillery whiskys will be offered to provide something for the taste palette to go along with the paint palette!

Drams of whisky or

Seed & Sage Artisan Colorado Lemonade cocktails

will be provided

In 2016, Graeme Wallace left his home in Scotland and moved to Colorado to pursue a life long dream.  That was when his Hogback Distillery was established and his goal to make Scotch style whisky in the US  got underway. The name Hogback was inspired by the Dakota Hogback Ridge that runs along the entire length of the Colorado Rockies.

To fully appreciate Hogback whiskies as intended, Graeme encourages you to try them neat and at the strength they bottle them. (Allowing the spirit time to breath just like a red wine).

If you're in the mood for something lighter, then you can enjoy the special S&S Artisan Colorado Lemonade (or both:)
