Next Offering - TBD Fall 2024

Guided by: Jason Geoffrion

How often have you found yourself believing or saying something like one of the following statements:

  • Articulating my artistic vision is challenging.

  • I feel like I am bragging when I tell someone about my art.

  • Talking about my own art is difficult.

  • I get shy when someone asks me about my work.

  • I stumble over my words about my art.

  • It is difficult to write about my art and represent it well.

  • I don't feel confident in what I'm offering the world.

Strong belief in yourself as an artist,

clear representation of your artistic vision, and

confidence in representing your own work

directly influences potential customers and impacts future sales.

Through large group learning and small group sharing, you will practice and workshop your writing and speaking in real time with other artists.

In Part 1 you will: identify what old beliefs hinder you and your art, engage in the practice of writing about your work and artistic vision confidently, and receive immediate feedback from other artists.

Between classes you will: engage in exercises to continue to hone your writing, and begin to translate that to speaking about your work.

In Part 2 you will: focus on moving from writing to speaking strongly about your artistic vision and your work, practice reflective speaking and listening, and embody your stance as an Artist.

This spring if you want to

  • stand tall in yourself as the amazing Artist you are, and

  • feel confident to launch more creations into the world,

Jason is a community weaver, local initiative supporter, and embodied creative being.   These days his purpose manifests through guiding artists and creatives in realizing their fullest potential and expression.

After careers in mental health, education, coaching, and personal growth retreats, Jason found himself with a decade-long vision lingering on the forefront of his heart and mind.  Feeling the call to create work in the mountains where he lives, and a desire to support local people and local initiatives, a resonant yes was heard, and Community Matters began to come into form.

Eight weeks later, in June 2022, Jason purchased the Aspen and Evergreen Gallery in downtown Estes Park, Colorado.  Now home to 90 local artists, A&E has grown into a welcoming place where locals and visitors find quality, handmade art, and a place of  belonging,

In October 2023, Jason opened the Seed & Sage Studio, a 10-minute walk from the gallery, as a gathering space for artists and creatives to connect, learn, work and grow.   The studio offers workshops, events, and gatherings that encompass learning through technique enhancement, personal growth, business acumen, and community building.

Jason holds a BA in Creative Writing, MA in Education, MA in Human and Organizational Systems, and PhD in Human Development.  Jason lives with his wife and daughter on the Middle Saint Vrain river surrounded by trees and wildlife.  His current creative expressions come through poetry writing, emotive painting, and weekly vocal lessons.
